Background:
Convergence Oceania is Australasia’s premiere wireless and mobility conference and exhibition. Established in 2002, Convergence has become a “must-attend” event for business and IT decision makers.
With 30 exhibitors and five internationally acclaimed guest speakers, the forum aims to promote and educate New Zealand companies on the many options and solutions available to them through the use of Wireless Data and Broadband Technology.
The Strategy:
Run The Red worked closely with Verve consulting, as well as other exhibitors at the event, to create a fun and interactive txt quiz for those people visiting the Convergence or taking part in the forum.
How it worked:

Users were required to txt in the keyword that was displayed at each stand to take part in the quiz.

After txting in the keyword users would receive a multi-choice question relating to that particular stand. Users were then asked to txt in their answer (either A,B or C) through to the short-code to go into the draw to win spot prizes and the grand prize.

Users then received txt notifications if they had won either a spot prize or the grand prize.
The Results:
The convergence was a great success with over 450 delegates passing through the forum throughout the day. The txt quiz was played by over 110 delegates on the day, with over 960 messages being sent into the system. |
