Background:
Telecom is one of New Zealand’s leading telecommunication companies and is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to their customers.
Having established a good relationship, from successful campaigns such as “Rock, Paper,Scissors” (RPS027), Telecom enlisted the help of Run The Red to create a mobile campaign to coincide with their launch of Anytime plans.
Telecom’s Anytime plans are based around discounts on standard calling rates for national, home to mobile and peak time international calls.
The Objective:
Create an easy and engaging mobile campaign to increase the awareness of the Anytime Plans and the number of services Telecom provides for their customers.

Run The Red worked closely with Telecom to create an easy and effective Anytime mobile campaign.
How it worked:
- Users were requested to txt in the country name or alias (i.e. Australia, Aus etc) through to a short-code.
- Users were then sent a reply message indicating the Anytime rate for that country as well as the other important details and requirements, including a website link to view more details.
The Results:
- The Anytime campaign was a great success with nearly 50,000 Telecom customers using the system- and over 145,500 messages being sent through the system.
- The campaign raised awareness of the Anytime plans to Telecom customers.
