TXT4TIPS ensures better odds

TXT4TIPS is an exciting new information service that delivers expert horse racing tips to the betting public wherever and whenever they want it, says Run the Red Director Justin Boersma.

"TXT4TIPS is an affordable, easily accessible and, most important to the racing public, an instant information channel that they can use to source expert racing opinion," said Justin Boersma.

The new service is a joint venture between Run the Red, a wireless solutions company specialising in mobile applications, and Racing Ink, a specialist racing information provider.

"Racing Ink's mission is "to deliver up to date information and expert commentary to the New Zealand racing industry" and this partnership with Run the Red has provided us with a solution that contributes to that," said race caller and principal of Racing Ink, Tony Lee.

A range of information is currently available and the betting public can have that information delivered on a race-by-race basis. Later it is planned to introduce more sophisticated services, such as the "Insiders Sure Thing", "Latemail" and "The Big Dip," using 'push' technology.

"This is only the beginning. We want to expand TXT4TIPS to include other information relevant to the betting public. For example, while services will initially focus on the New Zealand horse racing industry we want to develop the concept and apply it to other sporting events, both national and international," said Justin Boersma.

TXT4TIPS aims to improve the betting decisions and returns of its customers, which requires the delivery of concise, up to date information specific to the individual customer's needs. Customers will also have access to 24hr on-line support and help through the TAB's 0800 number (0800 102 106).
